Louise Wells Anderson, 91, of Charlottesville passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2007.
She was born September 13, 1915 in Ivy, and was the daughter of the late Austin A. and Alberta Violet Barksdale Wells. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Alvah Thomas Anderson, five brothers, Early Wells, Ernest Wells, Russell Wells, Raleigh Wells, and James F. Wells, a sister, Helen Wells.
Survivors include her son, Alvah Thomas Anderson, Jr. and his wife, Hilda of Martinsville, a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Southall and her husband, Rodney Meredith of Charlottesville, two sisters, Florence Delaphine Rupertus of Silver Spring, MD and Virginia Fern Gorin of Jacksonville, FL, two grandsons, Roger J. Light of Roanoke, and Jeffrey Scott Anderson and his wife, Claire of Fort Myers, Fl., one granddaughter, Catherine Dawn Ignudo and her husband Angelo of Fredericksburg, and five great grandchildren, Ashley and Taylor Light, Katelyn, Amber, and Anthony Ignudo.
Louise had a great love for her family and friends. To know her was to love her. She had a warm and genuine caring for all around her.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Sunday at Hill & Wood Chapel with the Rev Jeff Riddle officiating. Interment will follow at Monticello Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 7:00 – 8:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
